NEWS for Parents
Bible Verse
"Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name."
Psalm 86:11
Summer is here and so are all of the fun filled camp activities. We are excited to present this year, "Outrigger Island" for our Bible School and Camp curriculum. The children will have a wonderful adventure "riding the waves" each week as they study God's Word. Many special activities, games, arts -n- crafts, and even an Island menu have been planned. Make sure you admire and discuss the information and projects the children take home. I am sure you will be amazed at all of the wonderful things they are studying.
July Curriculum
We will focus each week on riding the waves of "Truth", God is real, and the Bible as our guide. Old Testament stories come to life in Worship Rally, and arts -n- crafts will enhance a hands on approach to the story. Our classrooms are being transformed into tropical islands and shores. Be listening carefully for Island songs and sounds reflecting God's Truths. Our pelican class will also have our annual 4th of July parade around the neighborhood. We will begin at 10:00 sharp, if you want to watch. Don't forget to wear Red, White & Blue!Camp Sailfish News ~ Kindergarten - 5th Grade
Aloha campers, we are having a fun summer! Each week we have field trips, worship rallies, talent shows, and lots of interesting things to learn about. Our lime green shirts are seen everywhere from Jack Frost to Parks on Hilton Head. Keep your eyes open, you never know where our campers will be spotted next. Also, our campers will be having a poster contest with the theme "Liberty in Christ". They will be posted at our 285 location. Let's see who gets the Blue Ribbon. Make sure you check the field trip schedule and pack your swim suits, towel, bug spray and water bottles!!
What a Blessing the children are this summer. It is exciting to see them grow and learn so much. I think the Staff is having as much fun with our "Tropical Paradise" as our students. Many of you have requested camp shirts. Next year we will have an order sign up sheet for parents. We would love to see our parents come out and have some summer fun with us!
After school sign up starts July 1st. There is no registration fee if you are a summer camper. Please stop by, sign up and let us know which elementary school your child will attend. Bus seats are limited, so sign up early!
Notes from Ms. Kim
- Please keep those hot summer days in mind and apply sun screen prior to coming to school.
- Flip flops are still prohibited at school, due to the safety issues they cause while on the playground.
- Also remember there is no dropping off or picking up between the hours of 11:00 - 2:00, unless it is due to a medical appointment. We appreciate your help in minimizing disruption in the classrooms during their quiet time. The children are healthier and happier when they get enough rest, and during the summer activities they need the extra rest.
- Keep your time in the drive thru to the 3 minute limit. If you are loading car seats, or multiple children you may need to use the parking lot.
- Please label your car seats! Many look exactly alike, and it is difficult to tell the difference if someone different is picking up your child.
- Summer is a great time to ensure your immunizations are up to date, and your information is current in the office.
God Bless,
Ms. Kim
