  March Curriculum

In like a lion and out like a lamb! Our theme this month is; "Easter". We will be learning the story of Jesus' resurrection and learning that if Jesus is in our hearts, we will be with him forever. We will also be learning about traditional Easter celebrations and symbols. Letters this month are; "S", "T", and "U", numbers are; "8" or Alligators through Seagulls, "15" & "16" for Pelicans. Our shape is "oval" and our color is "purple".

We will also be doing some St. Patrick's Day projects and celebrating with the "wearin" of the green and a special snack March 17th.

Camp News

There are lots of exciting plans in the works for summer camp this year! Camp packets will be available the end of this month as we get ready to "Saddle up" for a wonderful "wild west" summer of fun!

School Closings this month are:
                                               St. Gregory; 3rd, 4th, & 5th
                                               Public School; 29th through April 2nd

Spring is blowing in with March winds and so will the bugs. Please remember to start applying the bug spray as our days get warmer. March is such a busy with St. Patrick's Day and the Easter Season, so make sure to watch for a party sign-up lists & special notices.

Summer camp plans are well under way. We will "saddle-up" & "Ride the Range" in this years bible kick-off. Camp packets will be ready for distribution by the end of March. Space is limited so graduating Pelicans please let the office know if you wish to attend. Camp is offered for Kindergarten through 3rd grade.

The annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on March 31st in the morning and class parties are in the afternoon during snack time. Each student needs to bring in one dozen plastic eggs ALREADY FILLED with WRAPPED candy, stickers or Easter treats. Please put your child's classroom name on their bag of eggs. A surprise visit from the Easter Bunny is planned!

A reminder, Lowcountry Day schools are closed on Friday, April 2nd in observance of Good Friday.
