Lowcountry Day schools are privately-owned Christian and State-Licensed preschools welcoming families from all denominations.

Our Mission is to provide a safe, nurturing environment while providing the highest quality care that will meet the needs of every individual child.

Our Staff

Lowcountry Day schools are owned and operated by Kim and Mike Clark. Kim holds a degree in Social Work with an extensive background in child development, counseling, and is certified by the state of South Carolina in total child assessment.  Kim has served as a social worker with DSS since 1990, and is currently an active member on the Board of Directors for CAPA (Child Abuse Prevention Association).

The Lowcountry Day staff meet the South Carolina Division of Child Development criteria to work in a child care and preschool center while maintaining an employee screening process which includes reference checks along with local and national criminal records checks. The staff participates in continuing training and development. A majority of staff members are required to obtain twenty hours per year of training including First Aid and Infant/Child CPR certifications.

Parental Involvement

We encourage parents to become involved with our various activities in the center. We welcome volunteers, especially on field trips. Various events take place during the year, such as the Christmas program, school wide Easter egg hunt, Fall Festival, preschool graduation, parties, etc. that you, as parents, are encouraged to attend.  Become a part of our family by getting involved!
