Lowcountry Day is a privately-owned Christian and State-Licensed preschool welcoming families from all denominations.

Our Mission is to provide a safe, nurturing environment while providing the highest quality care that will meet the needs of every individual child.

Our Staff

Lowcountry Day is owned and operated by Kim and Mike Clark. Kim holds a B.S. in Social Work with an extensive background in child development and counseling. Our director Jennifer Ward holds a B.A. in education and is a certified teacher in elementary education.

The Lowcountry Day staff meet the South Carolina Division of Child Development criteria to work in a child care center while maintaining an employee screening process which includes reference checks along with local and national criminal records checks. The staff participates in continuing training and development. A majority of staff members are required to obtain twenty hours per year of training including First Aid and Infant/Child CPR certifications.

Parental Involvement

We encourage parents to become involved with our various activities in the center. We welcome volunteers, especially on field trips. Various events take place during the year, such as the Christmas program, graduation (of our four- and five-year-olds going to Kindergarten), parties, etc. that you, as parents, are encouraged to attend. In the future, we hope to offer simple parent development meetings and groups. Become a part of our family by getting involved!
