Lowcountry Day schools are privately-owned Christian and State-Licensed preschools welcoming families from all denominations.
Our Mission is to provide a safe, nurturing environment while providing the highest quality care that will meet the needs of every individual child.
Our Staff
Lowcountry Day schools are owned and operated by Kim Duke-Clark. Kim holds a degree in Social Work with an extensive background in child development, counseling, and is certified by the
State of South Carolina in total child assessment. Kim has served as a social worker with DSS since 1990, is an active member, and is on the Board of Directors for CAPA (Child Abuse Prevention Association).
Lowcountry Day schools staff meet the South Carolina Division of Child Development criteria to work in a child care and preschool center. All staff members have been screened, the screening process includes DSS, reference checks along with local and national criminal background record checks. The staff are required to participate in continuing education, training hours yearly, and receive CPR/First Aid Certifications.
Parental Involvement
We encourage all parents to become involved with our various activities at Lowcountry Day schools. We welcome volunteers, especially on field trips, and planned celebration events during the year. Lowcountry Day schools perform a Christmas Program, Fall Festival, Preschool Graduation, Class Parties, and a extremely large Easter Egg Hunt...just to name a few of our planned activities. Become a part of our Lowcountry Day family, by getting involved!
